In this section, you can see the development and evolution of my earlier paper-based bookworks. There are significant gaps in my documentation during this time period, and a number of works are missing, most notably large, naturally-colored, empty book 'hulls', some of which can be seen in the 2001 installation, Speaking Volumes. Other images have been lost to hard drive crashes and the like.
